Lake Norman Photo had a wonderful year. I would like to thank everyone who made Lake Norman Photo a huge success. My work appeared in TapOut Magazine, MMA Worldwide, various ads for Skin MMA clothing, Cover of Chiropractor Journal, 20+ classical indian dance events, local magazines and more.

So, what’s in store for Ranard Brown and Lake Norman Photo for 2012? Well, Costa Rica sounds like a plan. Tons of wedding photography, senior portraits, a event photography. I am still doing model photography. I have been enjoying my time with my son and he’s been my favorite person to photograph. Sadly, I use my camera phone 80% of the time. The child photography photographs actually came out pretty good. He’s always moving! Plus, I prefer to shoot video of him. I just purchased a little point and shoot camera so I can do it all. It’s not the camera…. it’s the photographer.

A Savvy Event

Savvy will be headed off to college for Pre-med. I had the pleasure of photographing her last months in NC. There were wonderful friends and family members to send her off to college. Lake Norman Photography covered the event from start to finished. Over 300 photographs! Event Photographs

The Bin’s Silent Auction in Huntersville, NC

The Bin is a non-profit based in Huntersville, NC. They help the working poor who are unable to furnish their homes. It’s a great organization and I was thrilled when they asked if Lake Norman Photography – would photograph their fund raising event. I was excited about the opportunity. So many people turned out for the silent auction. I couldn’t help myself. I was able to win two haircut and a gym membership. Best of all it went to a great cause. Check out the photographs.

I’ve been doing so many shoots the past two months. I’ve increased the number of family, engagement and corporate photographs. Thank you to all the families, businesses, and people who allowed me to photograph you. Now, I’ve been shooting tons of models and It’s helped me become a better photographer. Model and fashion style photography requires perfect lighting, angles and posing. I translate that talent into my portraits with clients. In addition, models require a fast turnaround time. 1-2 days tops before you see and have your photos in your hands.

I attended a fashion, photographer, model & make up artist networking after-hours at Mez. I met a lot of great people who I look forward to working with in Charlotte, Lake Norman, NoDa and anywhere else I’m called to shoot. Be on the look out for more photographs. I’m booked 3-4 days of the week. That means more photos for you to view. Take care and be well.
